Our Story
Andrea and Daniel met in 1999 at North Park University, a small Christian college in the heart of Chicago. Andrea had just returned from her first mission trip to Ghana, where God made her life calling clear: go to Africa and serve orphans!
One evening over a cafeteria meal, Daniel shared that he grew up as a missionary kid in Brazil and wanted to live overseas and serve orphans. Andrea did not say a word about her calling but returned to her dorm and journaled to God about it. Three years later, they were married!
Daniel and Andrea helped plant a multi-ethnic, inner-city Covenant church where they served for over ten years. They, along with their four children, lived in Uganda and Zambia for a total of six years, where they preached the Gospel, cared for orphans, saw miracles, hosted parties in the slums, empowered vulnerable women to start businesses, activated the gifts in the body of Christ, and saw God’s kingdom touch earth.
Andrea received alarming news of the famine from her Ugandan friend, Pastor Godfrey, in the fall of 2022. Nine hundred people had already starved to death.
God prompted Andrea and Daniel to fast for 40 days and seek God’s heart. By touching the hearts of many, God provided for the Kaisers to travel to Uganda for Christmas and share food, Bibles, and mosquito nets with those in critical need.
In the middle of a drought, God answered prayers for rain. In fact, five times during outreach it began to rain - right when Andrea started preaching! In ten days, 94 people gave their lives to Jesus, 35 people were healed, 1370 prisoners heard the gospel, and over 200 families received food staples, Bibles, and mosquito nets! What a wonder-working God! In His great love, he called the Kaiser family to return to Uganda to serve long-term.
“God has a constantly flowing river whose sparkling streams bring joy and delight to his people.”
